Puttur: Drug supplier arrested; Goods worth Rs 5.86 lakh seized

Puttur: Police officials on Sunday arrested a drug peddler and seized goods worth Rs 5.86 lakh in Peramogru, Kedila village.
The arrested accused has been identified as Mohammed Muwaaz. Police officials have seized a car, pistol, bullets and marijuana from the accused.
It is said that earlier police officials had arrested two persons Shafiq K V, resident of Kuntoor Perabe village in Kadaba, and Razik, resident of Kuntoor Ermala with ganja near Veermangala Railway tracks in Santhigodu.
The accused then revealed that Mohammed Muwaaz was the main drug supplier operating in and around Mangalore. Following this, he was arrested by police officials.
Further investigations are underway.
