Puttur: Forensic officials collect human skull, bones from land at Sidyala

Puttur: The forensic department officials visited and inspected the farmland at Sidyala of Chickamudnoor village, where on Friday, October 21, a human skull, and bones were found.

The human remains were found on the land belonging to Late Jeevan Bhandary while razing husk and grass.

On receiving the information, the police informed the forensic officials about it.

Dr. Girish of the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, Mangaluru and Lab Assistant Sushanth visited the spot to collect the remains. During the process, they recovered ribs, cloth material, currency notes of Rs.100, Rs.50 and coins in a plastic cover kept in the shirt pocket, and slippers nearby.

From the collected evidence, a part of the human remains that were found will be sent to Bengaluru forensic department and the rest will be kept under police protection.

During the operation, Police Inspector Sunil Kumar, SI Srikanth Rathod, ASI Loknath, and other officials were present.

Meanwhile, it is learned that around seven months back person named Yusuf, a resident of Tarigudde had gone missing. In relation to this, a missing complaint was filed by his brother.

However, he was not found.

Now that the human remains are found, some suspect it to be of Yusuf.
