Puttur: A youth from Puttur died due to drowning in Payyanur of Kerala on Saturday, September 30.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Azeem (21), a resident of Hirebandadi in Puttur.
Azeem had a diploma in mechanical engineering and was working in Bengaluru. He had come home for the Eid holidays.
He, along with his friends, had been on a trip to Kerala’s Wayanad on Friday, and stayed in a room there. He reportedly drowned in a lake near Payyannur in the early morning.
The dead body has been kept at Periyar Medical College and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
