Puttur: A 25-year-old married woman from Hubli left her eleven-month-old baby at home and traveled to Puttur to meet her boyfriend, who worked as a laborer in the Kodimbadi area. The incident took place on the 13th of June, leaving her family members in distress and prompting a search operation.
The family knew about woman’s relationship and suspected that she might have gone to meet her boyfriend. As soon as they got to know that she was missing, they immediately traveled to Kodimbadi to search for her.
Jayaprakash Badinar, a member of the Kodimbadi Gram Panchayat assisted in the search and promptly informed the police.
The police and the family launched an extensive search operation and eventually, the tower location led the authorities to Siddakatte, where both the woman and her lover were found.
Reportedly, the woman was taken back to Hubli by her family members.
Investigations revealed that the woman was in a romantic relationship with a young man from her hometown. Apparently, she had planned her escape for several days, but her family had been closely monitoring her. However, three days ago, she left her child at home, claiming she needed to visit the town for Aadhaar card linkage.
Surprisingly, the woman claimed she had no money to travel. However, her boyfriend informed her about the government’s new scheme, which offered free travel on government buses. The women took advantage of the scheme and made her way to Puttur.
