Puttur: One killed, several injured in head-on collision between cars

Puttur: One person was killed and several others were injured in the head-on collision between two cars on Mani-Mysuru National Highway on February 20.

The accident occurred between an i10 car and a Swift car at Madyangala near Kavu. The occupants of the i10 were returning from Talakaveri to their home in Bejai, in Mangaluru.

Due to the force of the impact, the driver of i10, identified as Raju of Madikeri, was killed on the spot. Another occupant, Jyothi of Bejai, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital. Netravathi, Baby Poojary, and Chetan who were also traveling in the same car sustained minor injuries, sources said.

The occupants of the swift car were also injured. Moideen Kunhi from Kaikamba who was driving the car has sustained injuries, sources said.
