Puttur: ‘Runaway’ bride found married to lover

Puttur: In connection to the mysterious disappearance of a bride, hours before her wedding on February 26, it is learnt that the girl, Navya is said to have appeared before Yelandur police in Chamarajanagar district on Wednesday, March 4.
Navya, a resident of Kolthige village near Savanur had gone missing in the wee hours of February 26. After efforts to trace her failed, the wedding was called off.
It is now gathered that Navya had eloped with her lover Naveen after her family members had retired to bed. The couple is said to have married each other.
