Puttur: Suicide case takes a turn; Another wedding party visited victim’s house

Puttur: The suicide case of a young man from Mutnur village has taken a curious turn when the wedding engagement was scheduled to take place in a few days.

The engagement of Raviraj (31), son of Koosappa Poojary was fixed and was to be held in a few days. on Sunday, November 21, Raviraj’s family was busy preparing for the housewarming ceremony of his brother when he had hanged himself in the bathroom of the newly constructed house.

On the same day, the family of another girl along with the marriage party had arrived at the young man’s house and had returned on knowing about his suicide, sources said.

It is gathered marriage party had suddenly arrived from Kundapur on Sunday with a marriage proposal for Raviraj. Confused by this, the family started searching for Raviraj. They could only find the lifeless body of the youth hanging from the ceiling of the newly constructed home of his brother.

Fear behind the extreme step?

As the suicide of Raviraj came to light, the wedding party from Kundapur quickly returned back. Suspicions have been raised that he may have fallen in love with the girl from Kundapur when he was employed in Bangaluru. The young man’s family had offered to get him engaged to another girl. It is not known whether his family knew about his affairs with the girl from Kundapur.
