Puttur: Five persons wielding swords created ruckus in front of Hindu leader Arun Kumar Puthila’s office at Mukrampadi here in broad daylight on Friday.

A message posted on social media apparently led to the incident. The group was reportedly led-by Hindu Jagaran Vedike leader Dinesh Panjiga.

The group had come to the Puthila’s office to attack one of his supporters, Manish Kulal. At the time of the incident, Kulal was not at the office, however, he informed the police about the attack.

Police, meanwhile, have arrested 5 persons including Dinesh.
