Puttur: Woman sexually harassed at shop; accused arrested

Puttur: A man in Puttur has been arrested for sexually harassing a woman when she went to a shop to purchase groceries.

The arrested accused has been identified as Badruddin, a resident of Sorake, Sarve village.

It is said that the incident occurred on Wednesday evening when the owner had gone out for tea. The accused working in the shop allegedly harassed the victim.

The woman raised an alarm and he fled from the spot.

Condemning the incident, a large number of members of Hindu organizations had gathered at the spot and demanded his arrest.

A case has been registered.
