Puttur: Youth crushed to death in road accident

An 18-year-old youth was killed on the spot after he came under the wheels of a bus at Kuppetti here on Monday, August 29.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Safwan, a resident of Khandiga Mane of Uligrama of Bantwal taluk.
The mishap took place when Safwan was headed towards Punjalkatte after dropping his father at his workplace. Reportedly, a tipper rammed into Safwan’s bike and he fell to the road. Tragically he was run over by a bus killing him on the spot.
The driver of the tipper truck fled the spot.
Puttur police registered a case and seized the truck.
