Puttur: Smoke emanates from KSRTC bus; passengers safe

Passengers of a KSRTC bus were safely evacuated after its driver noticed smoke in the engine compartment.
The bus was headed towards Dharmasthala from Puttur. However, when it reached near Mayura Inland complex on main road here the driver noticed the smoke and thus stopped the bus asking passengers to alight.
The fire service personnel were notified of the incident and rushed to the spot.
Meanwhile, the alertness of the driver in averting a mishap has been lauded by the public.
