Bengaluru: A man allegedly killed his sister in law during a quarrel over dinner on Friday in Nelamangala on the southern outskirts of Bengaluru.
The accused has been identified as Gangaguddaiah who killed Padma, his brother’s widow. Padma, a resident of Lakkasandra, had been living with Gangaguddaiah after her husband passed away five years ago. She would cook food and do the household chores. Gangaguddaiah came home on Friday and picked a quarrel with Padma. The quarrel got intense and in rage Gangaguddaiah repeatedly hit her with a club, killing her instantly.
While Gangaguddaiah was attacking Padma, she screams for help. The neighbours on hearing her scream came to their house and found Padma lying in a pool of blood. They immediately called the police.
The Nelamangala rural police arrived on spot and arrested Gangaguddaiah. Padma’s body was sent for post-mortem. The reason behind the murder is yet to be investigated.
