A potential disaster was narrowly avoided on Tuesday near the city bus stand in Udupi when a fire broke out due to a short circuit in a generator at a petrol station.
The incident occurred at a petrol pump located on the main road of the National Highway. The generator caught fire, causing immediate concern. However, the petrol station workers acted swiftly and efficiently. They quickly moved the burning generator onto the main road of the National Highway and managed to extinguish the flames. Subsequently, they informed the fire brigade.
Firefighters arrived promptly and ensured that the fire was completely put out. The timely intervention of the petrol pump crew played a crucial role in preventing what could have been a major accident.
