R-day: Governor Vajubhai Vala hoists tricolour flag at Manekshaw parade ground

Bengaluru: Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala hoisted the tricolour at Manekshaw parade ground here on Republic Day.

An Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter showered flowers around the dais after the flag-hoisting ceremony.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa greeted the citizens of the country on the occasion.
