Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble reject BJP offer to contest Karnataka polls

Bengaluru: As indicated by reports, former Indian cricketers Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble have turned town offers from the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) to challenge in the forthcoming Karnataka state elections.
With the Karnataka Assembly elections drawing closer, reports recommend that the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) attempted to field former Indian cricketers and national team captains Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble into the party to challenge.
However, the BJP’s attempts have gone futile as both Dravid and Kumble turned down the party’s offer to join its ranks. Reports said that the party made a few endeavors to charm the duo yet they didn’t acknowledge as they would not like to enter politics and that few rounds of talks were held.
A party leader said “Talks are still on. At least one of them desires to be fielded for the Lok Sabha or the Rajya Sabha. We have not lost all expectation yet.” It likewise proposed that the party will proceed to attempt and persuade the two to enter the political circle.
