Bengaluru: Tejasvi Surya, National President of the BJP Yuva Morcha and Member of Parliament, has criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent statements made during his visit to the United States. Speaking at a press conference held at Jagannath Bhavan, the BJP state office in Malleswaram, Bengaluru, Surya alleged that Rahul’s remarks were not only false but also provided new strength to anti-India forces.
Surya alleged that the individuals Rahul Gandhi interacted with during his US visit have a history of opposing India, making it clear that Rahul Gandhi is aligning himself with anti-India forces. He also criticized Rahul’s inconsistency in statements, accusing him of hypocrisy.
Surya highlighted that while Gandhi speaks against BJP’s reservation policies in India, he allegedly made contradictory statements abroad.
Referring to Gandhi’s interactions with US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, Surya expressed shock and claimed that Omar has a history of criticizing India’s human rights record and has opposed fast-tracking citizenship for Indian nationals in the US. Surya further claimed that Gandhi sharing a platform with Omar and receiving her support was unacceptable for a leader of the opposition.
Surya also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in securing constitutional status for the OBC Commission and implementing 27% OBC reservation in various educational institutions. He accused Gandhi of flip-flopping on the reservation issue, questioning the sincerity of his political stand both domestically and internationally.
Surya concluded by urging the public to recognize the alleged hypocrisy in Rahul Gandhi’s statements and actions, calling it a disservice to the nation.
