Raichur: A 14-year-old boy who was quarantined at a government institution after returning from Mumbai dies on Thursday, June 4, at Raichur.

On Wednesday night, the boy complained of severe abdominal pain at the quarantine centre. The ambulance arrived next day morning and he was brought dead to RIMS hospital.

The boy arrived with his aunt on May 16 and was quarantined at the government institution. Both tested negative on arrival and even though they had completed the quarantine period, they weren’t sent home.

The aunt alleged that despite several calls made to the authorities since Wednesday morning, ambulance service was delayed. She also alleged that delay of transportation caused boy’s death.

Sources claim that he was brought dead with a history of breathlessness and abdominal pain. However, the doctors are yet to ascertain the cause of death
