The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a raid on the house of Basanagouda Daddal, Congress MLA from Raichur Rural Assembly Constituency and Chairman of the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Development Corporation.

Officials raided Daddal’s residence located in Ram Rahim Colony, 2nd Ward, Ashapur Road. Two teams, led by three officers, carried out the raid and are currently examining the documents.

The raid is reportedly in connection with the Rs. 187 crore ‘scam’ involving the Valmiki Development Corporation. The document inspection began at 7 AM.

It is gathered that Basanagouda Daddal, who appeared before the SIT for questioning in Bengaluru yesterday, has been summoned for questioning today as well.
