Raichur: Heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms even on the night of Friday, September 19 disrupted lives in both rural and urban areas in the district.

In many of the city’s wards, sewage water entered homes. Jalal Nagar, Siyatalab, Zahirabad, Hosur and other layouts have been flooded. Till dawn residents were seen clearing water from their houses.

Municipal Councilor Dr Shivraj Patil visited the low-lying areas on Saturday morning and after having talks with locals, suggested to them that they should immediately move to Ganji Kendras.
