Raichur: Former Member of the Legislative Assembly from Maski Pratap Gowda Patil performed homa or havan (a ritual in which offering is made to sacred fire) to stop the spread of COVID-19 around the world in violation of lockdown rules.
Patil and few of his followers offered the homa in the premises of Mallikarjuna Temple.
He offered this prayer to stop the spread of Novel coronavirus around the world.
The government closed the doors of all the religious places across the country and there are strict rules to not assemble in groups in public. However, they have conducted the rituals here.
