Raichur: Man arrested for sharing derogatory post on Lord Ram

Raichur: Police officials have arrested a  20-year-old man for sharing derogatory WhatsApp post on Lord Ram in Devadurga taluk, Raichur district, Karnataka

The man was arrested after the members of Hindu groups began agitating in front of Devadurga police station.

The accused was produced before the magistrate on Thursday, Aug 20 and will be remanded in judicial custody till September 3

According to HT, He has been charged under various IPC sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 505 (intent to incite), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 205 (false personation).
