Raichur: Municipal council member murdered

Raichur: A Janata Dal (Secular) member from the eighth ward of the city’s municipal council was murdered by a gang on the night of Monday, September 28.
The councillor, identified as Maqbool, was murdered near the city’s Zakir Hussain Circle using a sharp object reportedly by four men.
A profusely bleeding Maqbool was immediately admitted to the Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences. He died without responding to treatment.
It was also reported that police had attempted to arrest the culprits near Bollamanadoddi in the city. But the perpetrators attacked the police and escaped injuring two police officials.
