Bantwal: Officials led by Bantwal Tahsildar Purandara Hegde raided a house at Kelaginapete and seized  several equipment  used for Aadhar registration including a laptop,  printer, scanner, eye scan, digital camera, biometric and GPS system. The raid was done based on a tip off that unauthorised Aadhar registration was taking place here on Tuesday July 11th.

The house belongs to a party leader and he claimed that the centre was operating with permission. However, during the raid no such document or proof was found validating the claim. Over 100 Aadhar registrations were discovered during the raid created on Monday and Tuesday.

Bantwal town police have registered a case against this person. Appropriate legal steps will be initiated against the accused as per the direction of the Tashildar.
