Ullal/Vittal: More than 20 houses are affected due to the heavy rains and flooding at Ullal and surrounding areas.

Water started gushing into houses at several houses in Talapady, Devipura, Kotekar, and Vaidyanath Nagar. Also for the first time in 25 years, Devipura road has been blocked due to flooding.

Traffic on the main Deralakatte-Beeri road was disrupted as a huge tree fell and blocked the road. Electricity poles  have been damaged in several areas.

Also, Kalladka-Kanhangad stretch of state highway has been blocked after heavy rain caused a mudslide in Vittal.

Further the road caved in creating a large hole in the middle of the road and locals have put boundaries around it to prevent riders taking the route.
