Rain persists in Karavali: Udane blocked, Shishila inundated

Nelyadi/Dharmasthala: Incessant rain persisted in Karavali and Malnad region on Friday as well with rainwater flowing on the roads at several locations.
Vehicle movement along Mangaluru-Bengaluru highway near Shiradi-Udane has been stopped. Water level at Kempuhole has risen. River water is flowing beside the highway at Udane market and the traffic here has been thrown out of gear.
Shishila temple on the verge of getting flooded
Shishila temple has become an island with the Shishila river flowing at full spate. The river water is flowing with full intensity across the single road which connects to the residents here. Although there is a suspension bridge here, the inundation of the road here has effectively stopped all connection to the place.
Dharmasthala: Snanaghatta inundated
The Snanaghatta at Dharmasthala has been flooded. Torrential rains at the rural areas of Belthangady taluk has inundated houses and farms.
