Rain preparedness: 30 member NDRF team arrives in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: A 30-member team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) arrived in Mangaluru from Vijayavada district in Andhra Pradesh on June 10, Monday.
With monsoon finally making its landfall in the district, the NDRF will be kept on stand by to deal with any monsoon related eventuality and conduct relief operations.
Last year Mangaluru witnessed worst kind of floods in the monsoon and NDRF had to be called for relief operations. The city has been experiencing light rains since Monday morning.
