Mangaluru: the district administration has made proper arrangements to tackle natural disaster during the monsoons, informed MLA UT Khader on Saturday, May 26th.
He was addressing a press meet at District Congress Office here and said, “The state government has sanctioned Rs 14 crore to construct berm mini break water wall in places like Hillary cross, Kaiko and Subashnagara in Ullal. Tender has been invited for the project. The construction work of temporary mini sea wall of 900 meters from Someshwara to Talapady at the cost of Rs 4.75 crore has already been started.”
In cases of any damages arising out of natural calamities during the monsoons the affected people should inform about the same to the local administration through an application. The government would provide proper compensation for the loss, said Khader.
UT Khader termed the JD(S)-Congress coalition government in the state as the victory of the constitution. The High Command would decide on allotting of ministerial positions to Congress MLA, he added.
To a question on leaders’ suspicions about EVM, Khader said, “This is a serious issue. There was a lot of suspicion over EVM in the entire state. The Election Commission should look into this issue,”
Khader termed BJP’s BS Yeddyurappa’s call for Karnataka Bandh on May 28th in case Kumarawamy-led government fails to waive farmers loan as a political gimmick.
