Rainfall to Continue for Next 4 days in Karnataka; Two Deaths Reported in Koppal

Bengaluru: Mother and her daughter washed away in flood water in an incident reported at Bommanal in Kushtagi taluk of Koppal on Saturday night. The body of the mother Hanumavva (50) has been recovered on Sunday morning whereas search is being made by the locals to find the dead body of Hanumavva’s daughter Paravva.

Most of the districts in Karnataka have been witnessing good rainfall activities for the last two days and the showers are expected to continue for the next four days as a deep depression has been formed in Bay of Bengal.

Heavy to rainfall activities are very likely to continue in Coastal and Malenadu regions of Karnataka for the next two to three days, said a weather forecast from India Meteorological Department (IMD).  Fishermen in coastal areas of Karnataka have advised not to move into sea as there is a high probability for storms. Heavy rainfall is reported in Bengaluru, Gadag,Mangaluru, Udupi, Shivamogga, Davangere and other parts of the state in the last 24 hours.
