Jaipur:  Three persons were killed and five others injured today when a jeep collided with a tanker in Rajasthan’s Sirohi district, the police said. The accident took place in the Krishnganj area.

Mahendra Singh (27), Mani Devi (60) and Mithu Kanwar (58) were killed in the collision, Investigating Officer Padma Ram said.

Three of the five injured were discharged after primary treatment and two were referred to a hospital in neighbouring Gujarat as their condition was critical, he said. A case has been registered against the tanker’s driver, who is at large, at the Anadara police station, the officer said.

The bodies were handed over to family members after postmortem, the police said.
