Rajyotsava award presentation programme postponed

Bengaluru: The government has postponed the Rajyotsava award presentation ceremony in the wake of the model code of conduct that is in force. This decision was taken by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy in a meeting.
As per the reports, the Rajyotsava award presentation programme will be held after the by-elections.
Kannada and Culture Minister Dr. Jayamala, Cooperative Minister Bandeppa Kashempur, and state selection committee members were also present at the meeting chaired by the CM.
The Rajyotsava award ceremony is Karnataka’s second highest civilian honour presented on November 1.
