Rakshit Ravindra Naik of Sirsi wins Silver at national athletics meet

Sirsi: Rakshit Ravindra Naik of Sirsi has won a silver medal in the 400m hurdles at the 21st 21st National U20 Athletics Championships held in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. The event was held under the auspices of the Athletics Federation of India on Sunday, and Rakshit clocked an impressive time of 52.51 seconds to complete the 400m hurdles.

Rakshit is undergoing rigorous training regimen under international athlete and coach Ashwini Akkunji at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Bengaluru. SAI, which is under the central government, is known for producing top athletes who have gone on to represent the country at the international level.

Rakshit, who is currently in the first year of his BCom course at the prestigious KLE College of Commerce in Bengaluru. He is the son of A Ravindra Naik and Savita Naik.
