Ramalinga Reddy denies NIA probe into Katipalla murder case

Bengaluru: Karnataka home minister Ramalinga Reddy condemned the murder of Deepak Rao in Katipalla, and said that as the Police were successful in arresting the culprits there is no need for an NIA probe.

Addressing the press, Reddy denied allegations from the opposition BJP of being supportive to Muslims and said that the Congress government is not in support of any particular community.

Reddy further said that additional director general of police, Kamal Panth, has been deputed to handle the chaos.

The state government has announced five lakh rupees additional to the five lakh compensation to the family.
