Over ten individuals have fallen ill following a leak from a sulfuric acid pipe intended for water filtration purposes in Aijuru, Ramanagar.

The affected individuals are currently receiving medical attention at a local hospital.

This unfortunate event underscores a recurring issue in the area, as incidents of illness stemming from gas leaks from corroded pipes have been reported since 2004.

Prompt action was taken upon discovery of the leak, with the fire brigade promptly mobilizing to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation.
