Ramanagara: 9 JD(S) leaders join Congress

Ramanagara: Ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections, 9 local leaders of the JD(S) joined Congress Party on Thursday Evening.

Channapatna Municipal Council President Prashant P, Revanna MJ, A Satish Babu, Srinivasmurthy, Lokesh CJ, Nagesh, Syed Rafique Ahmed K, Abidabanu, Bhanupriya quit JDS and joined Congress. Along with them, independent member of the council Uma also joined the Congress.

They inducted into the party inducted into the party at KPCC President D K Shivakumar’s residence in Sadashivnagar on Thursday night.

The turncoats have written to the District Deputy Commissioner about their change in party allegiance. As one-third of the JDS members of the Channapatna Municipal Council have left the party and joined the Congress, they have requested to be seated along with the Congress members in the Municipal Council.
