Ramanagara: Body missing Bengaluru man found at Kootagal Betta

Ramanagara: The body of a man from Bengaluru was found in a decomposed state at the foothills of Kootagal Betta in the taluk on Tuesday.

The police have identified the victim as Gurusiddappa, a resident of the Jnana Bharathi area of Bengaluru.

According to police, a missing complaint of Gurusiddappa was registered at Bengaluru’s Janana Bharathi police station. Later it was found that he had been murdered in Bengaluru on the same day he was reported missing and his body was dumped near Kootagal hill.

Ramnagara Rural, Gnana Bharati Thana police searched the area where the body was reportedly disposed of and found the decomposed remains. The body was found to be eaten by wild animals, possibly a leopard.

The mortal remains have been sent to a private hospital in Bengaluru for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered in Ramnagara rural police station.
