Ramanagara: Dr. C. N. Manjunath, the BJP candidate supported by JD(S), has maintained his lead in the seventh round of counting in the Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha constituency.
Congress candidate D. K. Suresh is trailing, causing some anxiety among Congress workers.
In response, security has been tightened across the constituency, including Kanakapura.
Dr. Manjunath is currently holding a lead of over 50,000 votes. He had written to the Election Commission, requesting enhanced security in the constituency.
