Belagavi: Former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, who was admitted to Gokak taluk hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19, was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday morning.
Physicians in the hospital informed that Jarkiholi has fully recovered however, he must be in home quarantine for two more weeks.
Jarkiholi was admitted to the hospital on April 1 after he complained of breathing problems. Later, tests confirmed he was infected with COVID-19.
He was summoned by the Special Investigation Team probing the CD case to attend its inquiry on April 5. In wake of his contracting COVID-19, Jarkiholi could not attend it.
He will also not be campaigning in the Belgaum Lok Sabha constituency by-election.
