Rameshwaram Cafe Blast case: NIA detains Sirsi-based man

Bengaluru / Sirsi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) officers detained Abdul Shukoor (33), a resident of Dasanakoppa in Sirsi taluk of Uttara Kannada district, on Tuesday.
Shukoor is accused of assisting the suspects involved in the Rameshwaram Café blast that occurred a few months ago in Bengaluru. He is alleged to have connections with banned terrorist organizations and to have aided militants involved in previous destructive acts in the state.
Sources said that NIA officers took the suspect Abdul Shukoor into custody in Banavasi and brought him to Bengaluru on Tuesday morning.
Sources indicate that the suspect is accused of inciting communal tensions on social media and recruiting youth from specific communities for terrorist organizations through his speeches.
Assistance to Café Blast Suspects
Furthermore, Abdul Shukoor is alleged to have helped Abdul Matheen Taha from Thirthahalli and Mussavir Hussain, the masterminds of the recent Rameshwaram Café blast in Bengaluru, to evade arrest.
