Ranchi-Delhi Rajdhani express derailed; no casualties

New Delhi: The Ranchi-Delhi Rajdhani train got derailed near Shivaji Bridge bridge here today.

As per the reports, the engine and power car of the express train were affected which later led to the derailment. Since the speed of the (Ranchi-Delhi Rajdhani Express) train was as low as 40 kmph, which officials say, prevented any injuries when the incident occurred. There was no injury to any passenger,” said Neeraj Sharma, Northern Railways spokesperson. The incident took place around 11.45 am.

There have been no casualties reported yet.

This is the second incident of derailment in a day. Early this morning seven coaches of Shaktikunj Express had derailed in UP.
