Belthangady: “Ranjan Gowda, who is a former BJP president of Belthangady unit had contested against Congress candidate Vasant Bangera in 2013. Since he is disappointed by the policies and ideology of the BJP, he has decided to join the Congress along with his supporters,” said MLC Ivan D’Souza here on Saturday, March 30.

“Ranjan will be officially welcomed into Congress during a rally in Belthangady on April 1,” he added.

“Today, people in every region of the country are raising voice against the BJP. They have hope on the Congress and in the upcoming election; our party will win more than 200 seats. We will form the government with the support of our allies,” said Ivan.
