Kadaba: The town police have arrested a youth under POCSO for raping and impregnating a minor girl in a case which came to light with considerable delay. The arrested youth is identified as Saddam (25), son of Abbas, a resident of Peradka of Renjiladi village. He was employed as a jeep driver in the town.
The incident
Saddam had befriended the girl pursuing PUC at a college in the taluk and then raped her. However, the incident surfaced late only after the girl became 8 months pregnant. The police arrested the accused soon after getting information.
