Ravi flags off bus service of Chikmagalur – Datta Peetha

Chikmagalur: The KSRTC and KSTDC has introduced bus service from Chikmagalur to Datta Peetha.

Minister of Kannada and Culture of Karnataka, CT Ravi has flagged off the bus service on the model of Mahadeshwara Betta. He said, “There is been an increase in the number of tourists visiting the hilly ranges of Datta Peetha.”

The narrow road leading to the hills results in traffic congestion. Further, the movement of tourist vehicles to hills has been prohibited.

The local residents had been urging the KSRTC bus series to Datta Peetha, Mullayanagiri areas for the last several years. This bus to Datta Peetha will have four trips in a day.

The bus will leave from Chikmagalur at 7 am, 10 am, 1 pm and 4 pm. In the return journey, the bus will leave from Datta Peetha at 8:30 am, 11:30 am, 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
