Recording Tik Tok video on railway tracks, two dead

Bengaluru: Two youths died and one sustained injuries after a train ran over them while posing for a TikTok video being shot by a friend on the railway tracks near Yelahanka on Friday, September 27 evening.

The deceased are Aftab Sheriff, 19, and Mohammed Matin, 23, both from Hegde Nagar, lay on the tracks between Channasandra and Yelahanka and the injured is their friend Zabiullah Khan.

Following the incident, the police informed, “The loco pilot of the Yelahanka-Kolar-Chikkaballapura passenger train said that the trio never heard the train’s continuous whistles. While Zabiullah was flung some distance away, the other two were run over”

“The three of them had come on two motorbikes which they parked near the railway crossing. Zabiullah has been shifted to the Yelahanka government hospital for treatment,” the police further added.

It may be recalled that a 23-year-old man, Kumar from Godekere in Tumakuru district, who had broken his spinal cord while performing a somersault for a video meant to be uploaded on TikTok mobile application died on June 23 without responding to treatment at Victoria Hospital.
