Bengaluru: Despite of the illegal mining probe, the Ballari Reddy brothers – G Karunakara Reddy, G Somashekara Reddy and G Janardhana Reddy are back into politics. The brothers are in full preparations for the upcoming elections by keeping their profile low after that multi-crore illegal mining scam was in the air seven years ago.

The return of the Reddy brothers come at a time when the congress government came into power by taking on the illegal mining issue and found itself facing accusations of misdeeds in the Mysore Minerals limited. The government has now decided to hand over four cases of illegal iron ore export to special investigation team.

The eldest, Karunakara Reddy stayed away from the other brothers after the illegal mining scam and is hoping to get a ticket from BJP to contest in the upcoming elections for Harappanahalli constituency in Davanagere. He had previously won a seat there in the year 2008 and lost in the year 2013. He also represented Bellary at the Lok Sabha.

Somashekara Reddy said that state BJP President BS Yedyurappa has already promised him a ticket from Bellary city constituency. Somashekar Reddy had won the Bellary city constituency in the year 2008 and is positive about winning this time too.

But, Janardhana Reddy is now out on bail in the Rs.16100 crore illegal mining cases which is under investigation by the CBI. According to his bail, he is restricted from visiting Ballari, Ananthpura and Cuppada regions. Janardhana Reddy’s political future is increasing the curiosity and oddity.

Janardhana Reddy, in a recent event said in Bengaluru said that he will contest in the elections if the party will give him a chance. He also said that he will endure that BJP comes to power and congress is eliminated. BJP had expelled Janardhana Reddy from the party followed by his mining scam.

It is also said that the BJP is suspicious of formally bringing Janardhana back as that could affect its image because of the illegal mining scam.
