Rekha Kadiresh murder case: Another accused arrested

Bengaluru: Cottonpet police have arrested another accused in the murder of Rekha Kadiresh, the former corporator of the Chalavadipalya ward here.

The arrested has been identified as Selvaraj Poobalan (32) alias Captain. He was arrested near Eejipur government school.

The conspiracy to murder Rekha was planned in November 2020.

Selvaraj had links with the murder’s main accused Peter. He had reportedly attended those meetings where Peter, Rekha’s sister Mala and her son Arul had planned the murder.

Selvaraj had approached his friends in Srirampura, Cottonpet, Eejipur and Austin Town where some of the accused were hidden after the murder, police said.

Rekha was murdered on June 24.
