Remuneration to Seabird extend evacuees discharged

Karwar: The Defence Ministry has discharged, in two portions, the remuneration to those effected by the Seabird naval project.
The sum was discharged to the special district land acquisition officer in portions of Rs 23.76 crore and Rs 29.05 crore, individually, on February 26 and March 2.
Addressing a press conference in Haliyal Minister for Industries R V Deshpande said that the pay had been discharged through those belonging to a specific party, while at the same time ignoring the individuals who had worked sincerely towards getting the pay from the Centre.
