Renault Triber, the upcoming sub-4 metre MPV is scheduled to be launched on 28th of this month. Ahead of its launch, the Renault dealers have officially started accepting bookings of Triber. Interested buyers can book through the Renault India’s official website too.
Based on a new modified version of the Kwid’s CMF-A platform, the new 7-seater Triber will feature a brand-new interior design with a dual-tone colour scheme, unlike the other Renault cars. It will be available in four trims viz., RxE, RxL, RxT and RxZ at the time of launch.
The Renault Triber is the most spacious car in its segment and welcomes the customers with a chunk of exciting features like projector headlamps, LED DRLs, alloy wheels, reverse camera, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, removable third-row seats, cooled centre console storage and passive keyless entry.
For safety purpose, along with ABS, the Triber features driver and front passenger seat belt reminder, rear parking sensors, speed alert system and dual front airbags. It is also equipped with AC vents for all three rows.
Dimensionally, the Renault Triber measures 3990mm, 1739mm and 1643mm in terms of length, width and height respectively. The car offers multiple luggage space depending on the seating capacity (84 litres for 7-seater condition, 320 litres for 6-seater condition and 625 litres for 5-seater condition). It is the only sub-4 metre car in India to get three rows of seats.
Powering the MPV will be a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine which is capable to develop 72PS at 6,250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. This engine is either tethered with a standard 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 5-speed automated manual transmission. The claimed fuel efficiency is 20kmpl for the manual and 20.5kmpl for the Triber AMT. A 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine is likely to be offered later.
The highly-anticipated Renault Triber will toughly compete with and take on the likes of the Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno and the Toyota Glanza.
