Silver Jubilee Hall, renovated in collab with MEIL and Lions Club, inaugurated

Udupi: The newly renovated Silver Jubilee Hall at Rajeev Nagar Government Composite High School in Manipal was inaugurated recently. This hall was constructed in collaboration with Manipal Energy & Infratech Pvt. Ltd. (MEIL) and the Manipal Lions Club.

This initiative was supported by the CSR funds from Manipal Energy & Infratech Pvt. Ltd., Test Prep Printers Pvt. Ltd., TMG Sannidhi Foundation, and the family of Late Premalatha and Late Narasimha Nayak.

Speaking on the occasion, Lions District 317 C Governor Mohammad Hanif highlighted the importance of supporting government schools to aid students’ education. He also stated that similar initiatives would be undertaken by the Lions Club in the future.

Dr. H. Ganesh Pai, former president of the Manipal Lions Club, expressed the vision to upgrade the school and provide English education to underprivileged children.

Former Zilla Panchayat President Upendra Nayak mentioned that students from various states are pursuing education here, with 99% of the student body representing marginalized communities. He assured that more facilities would be provided to students in the future.

The event was attended by Sagar Mukhopadhyay, Managing Director and CEO of Manipal Energy & Infratech Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Shakeela, President of the Manipal Lions Club, T. Keshav Pai, Club Secretary, U. Sudhakar Kini, Treasurer, and M. Ramesh Kini from MLCF Sahayahasta.

On this occasion, Sagar Mukhopadhyay, Dr. Ganesh Pai, and Srinivas Ananth from Test Prints Pvt. Ltd. were felicitated. The school’s Balakrishna P. welcomed the guests, Krishna Nayak gave the vote of thanks, and Sanjeev Nayak compered the event.
