Mangaluru: Renowned professor B S Raman, passed away on Friday in Ooty.
He was 81. He is survived by wife, a son and a daughter.
Prof B S Raman(81) served as the HOD of commerce at St Aloysius College. He retired in 1995. He introduced BBA for the first time in the region.
He was instrumental in the development of commerce and accountancy subjects in the region as well as in the state. He wrote more than 100 books in commerce, economics, accountancy and law which were and are part of syllabus in many universities of India.
Funeral will be held in Ooty on Saturday, July 28.
