Renowned saxophonist Kadri Gopalnath’s memorial to be inaugurated on Dec 6 at his hometown

Mangaluru: The memorial dedicated to the late saxophonist Kadri Gopalnath will be inaugurated on December 6 at his hometown of Sajipa, announced musician and Gopalnath’s son Manikanth Kadri at a news conference here.

He added that a cultural centre in Gopalanath’s memory will also be built at a 5-acre plot in the city here.

The centre will showcase the local art forms and culture including Yakshagana and train students in the same, he said.

The memorial inauguration will be followed by ‘Gurunamana’ which will have a performance by his students from Bengaluru and Chennai.
